Dedicated to the principle
of the creative flow of ideas and information between and among
institutions at the local, national, and international level,
Kyungnam University was instrumental in the formation of a
consortium of eight universities. The consortium is known as
the Regional University Consortium of Korea (RUCK). The first
organization of its kind in the nation, RUCK links Jeonju,
Keimyung, Ulsan, Hannam, Honam, Ajou, and Kwandong Universities.
Each member University is able to share its strengths with
the others and to work together in designing systems and programs
that meet students' rapidly-changing needs. In addition, KU
has established similar links with three regional |

universities--Changwon National University, Youngsan
University--in Gyeongnam Province to meet the needs and demands
of Gyeongnam Province and prepare for a knowledge-based society.
In addition, Kyungnam University has established similar links
with thirty-four other universities, including Korea University,
Dongguk University, Sookmyung University, and etc. for the purpose
of joint research projects and professional exchanges. |
